A hearing for the appeal regarding the 3-lot consolidation at the mouth of Deaf Smith's Canyon was held June 13th. An attorney hired by the City argued in defense of the Planning Commission’s ruling to approve the 3-lot consolidation and the appellant attorney argued that there were deficiencies in the process and evaluation put before the Planning Commission by staff. Additionally, the concern by the appellant is that the further municipal process is all administrative and it will not come back in front of the public nor the Planning Commission before the final plat is approved. The hearing officer has ruled to uphold the planning commission’s approval of 3-lot consolidation.
