Transit into LCC & BCC this winter
Transit to Snowbird, Alta, Solitude and Brighton this season.
It’s complicated.
When UTA announced this fall that due to lack of sufficient bus operators they’d be reducing Ski Bus Service into Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons, several organizations “came to the rescue”. That includes:
CWC (Central Wasatch Commission) who worked with Sandy PD to provide an escorted bus on peak mornings (6am from 9400 South Highland Park & Ride)
**SLCO is primary funder and Visit Salt Lake is organizing supplemental ski bus service beginning January 26th (see below)

The shuttle will return from drop off locations at 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3 PM.
While the shuttle is free to ride, donations are greatly appreciated and will contribute to the program’s success.
The shuttle is supported by the Central Wasatch Commission and Backcountry, and operated by Utah Mountain Shuttle. Thank you to Solitude, Brighton, and Alta for allowing drop off locations.
** Thursdays through Sundays beginning January 26 and ending April 16, a private/public partnership will provide $10 round-trip bus service from locations in Sandy and Midvale. It is a $559,000 programs receiving financial support primarily from SLCO taxes and lesser levels of support from UTA, Visit Salt Lake, Snowbird, Alta, Solitude and Brighton. Snow Country Limousine will provide vans and mini-coaches.
Details forthcoming.
